Bhead’s Books

Of late, I have been spending most of my free time, I have a lot of it, reading.  Reading is definitely one of my favorite hobbies.  I find that it is one of the few things that I can still get accomplished even when I am going through a case of severe depression.  That’s right, I am one of the millions of people out there who suffer from depression.  Most of the time I am able to rationalize the thoughts in my head, and not let the feeling of depression get to me too badly, but from time to time I go through phases where it gets pretty severe.  These phases can last for days and they can last for weeks.  Others may not be able to tell the difference between when it is severe or not, but I certainly can.

Anyways, the whole point of this is the fact that I turn to reading when depression becomes too severe for me to deal with.  During these times, reading allows me to forget about myself and forget about all of the thoughts in my head.  Anyway, after taking a look at my bookshelf, I came to realize that I have read a ton of books lately.  Probably more this year than I have than at any other time.  I have easily read 10 to 15 books in the past three months.  Crazy right.

So what I was thinking was that instead of just reading the books and forgetting about them, I am going to actually do something useful with the knowledge from these books.  I have decided that I am going to write book reviews on the books that I have read, and continue to read.  Nothing crazy, just a brief account of what I thought of the books.  So stay tuned because sooner or later, hopefully sooner, Bheadshead is going to have its own book review page.  And if any of you out there have read any of the books I review, feel free to leave a comment.
